Lela has a Master’s degree in Public Health and a Bachelors degree with honors in Health and Social Care both from the University of Essex. Her Undergraduate dissertation focused on the mental health of H.I.V orphans. Continuing further to this, she accomplished a Masters Degree in health Public Health at the University of Essex. Her thesis focused on Risk Factors for mental health among people living with H.I.V in Eastern Africa.
Lela won an award for her outstanding learning and determination to overcome obstacles in life by The National Institute of Adult Continuing Education [NIACE]
Although Lela has settled in the United Kingdom with her husband and children, she is actively supporting the community she came from in Uganda. She personally supports young people and women access education and healthcare.
